About Jill Worrall

Join Jill Worrall, our group leader on the India Cycle Challenge. Jill was named New Zealand Travel Writer of the Year in 2005 and has won two Qantas Media Awards. Jill is very familiar with Save the Children’s work having served on its national board and visited many of its projects overseas, including Save the Children funded projects in southern India.

Jill will no doubt, bring great humour, insights and stories along the way as we travel through India. She first visited India in the 1990s and has returned four times to lead groups of New Zealanders on tours from Kolkata and Sikkim to Delhi, Rajastan and Mumbai.

Jill says “India is special, like nowhere else on the planet. The sheer energy, colour and chaos of the place are intoxicating and the people are a delight. To be able to visit again, this time at cycle pace and to combine this with seeing Save the Children projects in action and helping to fund more work is the perfect combination.”
